This past summer, I had my first substantive work experience interning at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, researching and writing about treatments and therapies. This is the first stanza of a piece of slam poetry my friend and I wrote and performed at our school’s rendition of TED Talks.
